Resource Training Organization

Committment to Health and Safety

The Resource Training Organization (RTO) finds its roots in the five main resource industries of British Columbia, namely: Mining and Smelting,
Oil and Gas, Forestry, Pulp and Paper, Shipbuilding and Repair. The common resource across each of these industries is people.

At RTO, we are committed to ensuring and maintain a healthy and safe environment for our employees, participants and stakeholders,
both physically and mentally.

We will accomplish this by:

  • providing the most current health and safety information available to allow individuals to make informed decisions with regard to their health, their safety and the performance of their tasks.
  • promoting a healthy, safe environment for all of our employees and stakehCheck Behind Vehicle Safetyolders both at work and in their home lives.
  • encouraging that, at no time, will anyone ignore safety for the sake of performance.
  • re-affirming he critical importance of safety to apprentices, to their employees and to their training providers.

We will strive to make informed choices based on our safety, our long term health, our community, and our environment.
